Recently a trashy, uncreative and unrealistic representation of Australia has been advertised in overseas markets.
I think they were off key. I propose a version that is more representative of our great nation and its delights.
We’ve cleansed the beaches.
Wound the clock back to the 1950s.
And smashed some beer bottles.
So where the bloody hell are you?.
Now that is the real Australia.

i agree that the add is all false but, i need to say that i don’t agree with the thoughts that we are a total racist nation. i mean we have unexcetable outburst? but what country doesn’t. i mean where not an overly racist nation who, marganalise people from other cultures…!

i agree with you hilda.
but we are still racist and have become more so in the last 10 years. i just feel we are going backwards rather than forwards and we should know better, which makes all of the above harder to tolerate.
anyway i was having a go at the advertising campaign as much as racism.
